Over on the on AIR bus tour blog, I just posted about a new app that Lee Brimelow and I put together on the bus, called flump.
It is a simple AIR application that will download all of the public images from a Flickr account.
You can find more information, as well as download the app from here (source included).

Lee Brimelow and I have just posted an app that we put together while on the first leg of the bus tour.
The app is called flump (Flickr dump), and is a simple application that will download all of the public images from a Flickr account.

We have posted the app, and source code to the bus tour’s code repository.

Just a quick fyi, but the MAX 2007 early bird registration ends on Friday. If you have been thinking about attending, now is the time to do so, in order to get the best rate.
I haven’t had a chance to blog to much (i.e. any) about MAX this year (because of the bus tour), but I think this is going to (hands down) the best MAX ever. Ted Patrick has been put in charge of the conference, and I have been really impressed with the change in focus on the conference.

Lee Brimelow has posted a bunch of the raw video that he took on the bus and at events from the first leg of the bus tour. This will give you a bit of a feel for what it is like at the events and on the bus.
Denis Sosnovtsev has posted a really useful blog post over on the atellis labs site. The post shows how to upload files from Flash to a .NET backend. The example includes both ActionScript and .NET / C# code snippets.
You can view the entire post here.
You can also view Mark Piller’s session from the on AIR Bus tour on integrating .NET with Adobe AIR applications.
Know any other good ActionScript / .NET resources and tutorials? Post them in the comments.
Atlanta, St Louis, Cincinnati, Pittsburg, Raleigh, Washington DC / Northern VA, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Boston. These are all of the cities where we will be holding 1 day AIR Camp events over the next two weeks.
You can find all of the updated details on the bus tour weblog.
We had a blast on the west coast on leg 1, so make sure to register and attend if we are visiting a city near you.

Just a quick note, but we have had to move the start time for the Philadelphia AIR Camp event from 5:15 to 6:30. The agenda hasn’t changed, but all of the times have shifted back.
You can see the complete agenda on the Philadelphia event page.
Also, the Philadelphia Flash User Group is holding an AIR application contest to coincide with the event. They have some SWEET prizes lined up, so make sure to check out the website for more information.

We have just updated the event agendas, and have also posted the list of all of the speakers for the second leg of the bus tour.
Just as with the first leg, we have a pretty impressive list of speakers.
We also have sessions by effectiveUI, Akamai, Yahoo! Developers Network and Salesforce.com.

One of our partners on the tour is mediatemple. They are providing the hosting for the website, weblogs, APIs and feeds, and have been a huge help in watching and maintaining the server.
However, not only are they helping us out on the site, but they also surprised us with some parting gifts on the bus, including these swank slippers being modeled by the bus’s own Andre Charland.
