Happy (belated) Birthday to Flazoom. One of the first Flash oriented weblogs, and one of the best sites for information on Flash usability.
The Macromedia Flash Remoting Support center has gone live. Lots of information on using Flash Remoting including some new content such as:
We have put up some new documents at the Macromedia Flash Support center.
I know there has been a lot of confusion about Flash MX’s support of unicode. Hopefully this document will help clear things up.
btw, I shouldn’t be traveling any this week, so i should have more frequent updates to the site.
A new Flash news site / weblog launched this week. SWFNews.com uses the slashdot code to provide the latest news and information on Macromedia Flash MX.
Good stuff, check it out.
Tons of new Content at the Macromedia Designer and Developer Center. In particular, this week we are highlighting new content on the Macromedia Flash MX Application Developer Center and are premiering the Java Application Development Center.
Nigel Pegg, who wrote the article on extending components, was the primary engineer behind all of the components included with Macromedia Flash MX, and will be speaking at FlashForward NYC in July.
Not strictly Flash related but, we premiered our new Java Application Development Center today. It is co-sponsored by Sun, and has some good info on Java and Macromedia products.
Here is a list of all of the ServerSide ActionScript information that I know of. If you have some additional resources, post them in the comments.
I will be traveling again on Thursday, so there won’t be any updates until Thursday night
John Dowdell has an informative post on how not to get help in the Flash community (or any community for that manner).
With the amount of messages posted daily through out the community, there is simply no way anyone can read all of them. Having descriptive subjects makes it MUCH more likely that someone will help you out.
I will be travelling today, so check out the following Flash weblogs for your daily dose of info:
And if you came here looking for Dreamweaver MX Crack, or Flash MX Crack, send your info here.
I will be speaking at the O’Reilly Emerging Technology Conference tomorrow (Wednesday, May 15), so my updates over the next two days may be a little sparse.
I will be speaking at 5:45 about “Rich application development with web services and Macromedia MX”. Here is the session dsecription:
In this session, Mike Chambers shows how to create rich applications by integrating Macromedia ColdFusion MX, Macromedia Flash MX and web services. He will show how to quickly create web services using Macromedia ColdFusion MX. Mike will then show how Macromedia Flash MX can be used to consume web services in order to create rich applications that can offer a better experience than traditional web applications.
