quick question im using a turtle beach headset and the mic is plugged into the line in on my computer but the output in my stream is really quiet, i have set it up exactly like you have it

Just wanted to say this is the most helpful article on desktop broadcasting by far, however camtwist refuses to work but the same process works with Manycam as well. Thank you so much for this tutorial.

Hey Mark, I get up to the “Configuring Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder” steps and have CamTwist open before Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder, but CamTwist still does not show as an option. Would you be able to help me out. I’m having a lot of trouble, it just doesn’t show up.

I also suffer from the problem where FLME wont recognize Camtwist as a device. I followed your directions exactly, then deleted everything and retried and got the same result. I’ve searched around the web for other people that have had to troubleshoot this and found recent complaints on various forums about it, but as yet no one seems to have a solution. Great instructions tho, thanks! (I have a Macbook Pro running OS X 10.5.8)

If you choose Desktop+ (on camtwist) it has an option where you can:
Confine to Application Window

Select that, and from the dropdown menu, choose the program you only want people to see (WoW).

Desktop+ might be a bit flickery, so then you would have to run WoW on windowed mode.

You can do it through camtwist, using Desktop+ (it says you can just select focus of 1 screen); though it might be a bit laggier on the stream, just heads up.

oops, my bad typing. oh, video wizards, pls help!
–my issue is: i want to open and use Google Earth, and capture the file of the video it’s displaying–of my using GE to go to a site, and zoom in on it.
so what i want to capture as a video file, is that nice blue globe and as i’ts zooming-in to a place . . . –just a few seconds of video here;
i need to use this sequence, as an intro to a longer video i’m making using iMovie production app–so i need a file i can insert into the iMovie app, either into the Events download folder, or dragged straight in with the rest of the projects clips–
can help?

Hello I can stream great now thank you very much but i have a problem i am streaming starcraft but i cant get the game sound in the stream i get the sound from my mic but not from the game
I have a razer banshee headset with mic what am i doing wrong?? please advice

I have restarted, reinstalled and reopened all programs but camtwist still does not show up as a device. I have tried on my desktop Mac which has lion OSX and my laptop which doesn’t have lion. Please help anyway you can.

FMLE is not necessary for Ustream. I’m unsure if it is for twitch tv.

Also, you may want to change your camtwist preferences to a higher resolution.
