to get rid of the space blow flash in Fire Fox 3 just add the following in to the flash object

“style=”display:block;”

None of the recommendations on various forums helped.
I ended up doing the following

backed up a partial profile (passwords, bookmarks.. I use myfoxmarks anyway)
http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/download.php

did a full uninstall of FF 3 including all personal settings/files
uninstalled Flash

Rebooted and reinstalled. Now I can see the flash on pages I previously had problems with (whitespace flash)

This was for winxp sp2

I have been experience different bugs with the latest FF3 version for MAC, bugs similar to this described here:

Hi guys,
I’ve encountered another Firefox 3/Flash bug, where Flash always appears at the top, stopping fly-out menus rendering properly/breaking them up. Has anyone else found this and if so do you know of a workaround?

I’m using FF3 in WinXPpro and it does not display any flash content. I’m using the IE tab plugin until they fix this thing.

Only thing you have to do is to CLEAR manually the catch data of FF3 when it starts making problems with flash. I have XP, so the location of catch:
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\3chp1vze.default\Cache
So clear this directory… I hope they will fix this bug soon.

I am having problems with some Flash sites I use since installing FF3 on WinXP.
You can call me paranoid, but I think Mozilla is trying to make Flash a pain to use, in an effort to kill it.
Look at the issues that are occurring with this new version, they are talking about adding any Flash version below 9.0.128 to the block list, and recommending ‘Flash Blocker’ as a must have plug-in. FF doesn’t have market share yet, but it is growing, and they don’t seem to be Flash friendly.
Just a thought.

I am also not able to load Flash in FF3+Win XP combination. I also tried to download Flash Player from the Adobe site. But all did not work.

Having similar issue FF2 no issue with streaming flash content, FF3 its like my internet connect is 28k which i know it isnt and works fine in other browsers, wish i would have read arround before i installed :(

I have same issue. I am actually pretty good at fixing problems but could not get Flash to install into FF3 with WinXP either. I uninstalled previous version of Flash and manually installed new Flash. No go. Sounds like a pretty serious bug in FF3. I was using FF2 for a long time with Flash with no issue. All problems began with FF3 install a couple of days ago.
