WE need to vote again :) https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-247

I realy hope we can a USB communication in AIR and Flash Player :)

I can imagine many different type of applications which can communicate with different devices connected over USB, atleast my phone (over bluetooth or cable)...

It would be great if AIR and Flash player can have USB API for those things, so that we (developers) are not forced to write socket-servers and take care of installation etc..

Mike,

We're looking for a AS3 developer of your caliber, (also Keith Peters, Lee Brimelow, John Grden, Andy Zupko, etc.) to work on a cutting-edge project set to revolutionize the web. Do you know anyone that may or may not be interested in filling this position for us? We're looking for a tough-as-nails AS3 developer, and an AS3-speaking designer. If you know of anyone, could you send us their contact info at tkassembled@gmail.com?
Thanks Mike, hope to hear from you soon!

Hi Mike,

Any support for direct importing of 3d models like 3ds or any 3d format with texturing.

I am working on extensive 3d application to load the application so far i am using papervision3d framework which doing good for me but not so good on performance while loading big models. In new player is there any kind of direct hardware support from graphics card going to be enabled like directx does?

How about native JSON support in flash 10 and in flex. I would like to be able to pull data from a JSON source and bind it to a datagrid or any other control.

Hello Mr. Chambers,
Flash Player 10 is great! However, I have a little complain about crossdomain policy file…
We have an online service called CyberLink Live, which currently have about 150,000 registered users. It allows our users to access their video, audio, photo and document files stored on their Home computers anywhere, anytime and even allow them to watch TV programs remotely if they have TV tuner card installed.
Our users have to install a little program, which contains crossdomain policy file, on their Home PC first, then, if they are away from home and want to watch their favorite programs, they can go to our web sit, which is built entirely in Flash, select the channel they like and our service will do the TV streaming for them.
The Flash Player 9.0.124 security update earlier caused our users not able to access their own content and wrote us some complaint letters…
Since the policy file is on users’ computers, we have no way to change it. Even though we have released a new version, which contains a new crossdomain policy file, in April; but you know, people don’t usually upgrade their software as fast as we expected…and the security update (9.0.124) this time made the backward compatibility of our service totally impossible…
The reason of having a policy file is understandable, but I would like to inform Adobe that there are people using Flash Platform making something that is a bit different from a regular web application. When Adobe makes security updates next time, please kindly consider applications or services like ours. I know Adobe had announced this update (9.0.124) about a month earlier before it actually published, but this is not about time in this case.
If you have a chance talking to player team, please kindly bring our concern to them. We will be making our next release in Flex and will support Flash Platform as long as we can.
By the way, there is another company called Orb doing similar to what we do, but they choose AJAX to build their web front-end. It is not as pretty as Flash Platform though.

Awesome,

Watched the demo's and such and it seems like the rendering part can be fully done by the GPU if i get it right ? (wow).

Is there any compiler out there to make our own 'tests' ?
