Sam's Publishing lists the book as a PDF (using Acrobat Reader), but it's actually an ebook which can only be read/viewed using Adobe's DigitalEditions software.

Also, the book is restricted to printing 4 pages TOTAL.

I tried to by this book from SAMS and although they took my money they could not deliver the book.

After exchanging several emails with there lack-lustre customer service department they are now refunding the monies paid and removing the title from there website citing it was applied in error and they will no longer be selling the book.

Any ideas on how I can get my hands on a copy !?

Thanks for the blog post, Mike!

Writing a book on an alpha version appears to be fairly new in the IT arena. I was concerned with this during the writing phase of this title, so I simply tried to avoid a lot of long-winded rhetoric and get down to the things I like to see when learning a new technology. Much of this book was formulated immediately after the original March 16th ApolloCamp was held in the Adobe San Francisco office, but with the inherent time lag in the production process, three months seems a long time ago. With that said, I still believe that the book's content will benefit those Readers that are new to Apollo as well as existing Developers that welcome a concise review of the Apollo feature set. The PDF is 60 pages and a quick read. Source code for all the examples is included.

By the way, I'm using the Adobe Digital Editions Beta to read my copy. Check it out on the Adobe Labs site: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/digitaleditions/
