>I do have a question though, is why cannot I not create 2 instance’s of an Apollo application, when I try for example to open a second instance of Tweetr it fails silently.

Yeah. Only a single instance of Apollo applications can be run at a time. This was a design decision.

However, this does not mean that you cannot support multiple tweetr accounts / windows. You can listen for InvokeEvents:

http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/Apollo:Documentation:Capturing_command-line_arguments

and then simply launch new native windows with different Tweetr accounts.

Hope that helps...

I am about to start a multi-year project that will use Flex as the presentation layer technology. However I find it difficult to find any contacts at Adobe to help build the business case for using Flex. Please let me whom I need to contact.

Thanks,

Mike, Glad you like Tweetr, I have got a lot of really positive feedback about it. I must say that Apollo is so cool in the way it works, I create an .air file and it just works on both Mac and PC without any issues at all. So many users have installed it without any issues (only one friend had an issue that Apollo did not associate itself with .air files but he fixed that quickly).

I do have a question though, is why cannot I not create 2 instance's of an Apollo application, when I try for example to open a second instance of Tweetr it fails silently. I thought this may be a real good way to support user with multiple Twitter accounts, just open a second Tweetr window.
Really looking forwards to the alpha2 or beta of Apollo. Have had a lot of requests for system tray support and would love to be able to get the response headers of a request (can only set them). My twitter steam is www.twitter.com/sponno which is mainly Flash/Flex/Apollo, if you are interested.
