I hope that Mozilla's newly announced Prism will make Adobe decide to open source AIR like they did with Flex.

Should be interesting as long as Adobe keep a tight reign on things, I was kind of expecting this announcement though seeing as Flex is essentially a modified version of Eclipse.

I just hope Adobe don't decide to make the Flash Player open source, that would definitely kill it. I'm all for open source projects but not when the software is such an integral part of web development, and not when the slightest change to the software can have a massive impact on it's performance and compatibility.

Hi "fellow mike", ;)

just watched the vids on podtech and to the end you showed an overview chart of the "new actionscript ecosystem".
Is it available?
I'd like to show of some aspects to fellow workers!

thanks
mike

P.S. have you any examples as to SAP ´Muse project?

Brad,

We are working on extensions for Flash CS3 to enable Apollo application development, although those are not yet avaliable.

However, Guy Watson has put together an extension for working on Apollo apps from Flash Authoring. You can find more info on it here:
