Flex 2 Style Explorer is Available

with 3 comments

The Adobe Consulting Team has posted a Flex 2 version of their Flex Style explorer.

This is an application that allows you to visually tweak the styles of the Flex components, and then get the resulting CSS to use in your application.

I just finished up working on a highly stylized application with Flex 2. While CSS / Styling support is very good in Flex 2, it can be difficult to figure out just what style does what you need. This application helps solve that problem.

You can view the application, as well as read more about styling in Flex 2 here.

  1. Hi, I’m using player 8,5,0,245 and I’m getting some weird errors when trying to open this app. Do I have the right version of th player?

    Thanks

  2. Yes. You need the player currently on http://labs.macromedia.com

The player you have is a newer player from the private beta (which will be on labs soon). I am assuming you are on that beta.

  3. Hi Mike. This is not about the style explorer but about preloading components in Flash 8 pro. I am having big problems preloading swf files that use Screens and the Window component. Any help from you, will be most welcomed. I felt it would be better to reach you via this medium instead of sending you an email. (you know, spam)
