Kasparov vs Deep Junior : Watch it Live via Flash

with 13 comments

Gary Kasparov is playing the Deep Junior computer at chess. Wired has set up a page with a Flash application that allows you to watch the match (or replay its history) live.

You can view the match here.

  1. About a year ago, Max Froumentin of W3C created an XSLT stylesheet to go from visualize ChessGML with SVG – http://people.w3.org/maxf/ChessGML/. Hope you’ll like that one too, it may not be as refined as the X3D demo but it could be done rather easily. And yes, it’s all done wtih W3C standards (apart from ChessGML).

  11. If you have used the Central trace panel, you may have noticed the “App Name Filter” text field in the bottom left of the panel. This is used to filter trace messages coming from Central so you only see messages coming from your application.

    What the hell is it?
